How very lucky we were to all be together for two very special ordinances -
Maddy's, (our daughter, Stacy's daughter), baptism and for Charlie (our daughter, Mindy's son) to receive a name and a blessing.
The Gabrielsen Reunion, besides bringing together my siblings and many of their families, was such a wonderful reunion of our family (everyone but Josh and Pete). The last time we were together was at Christmastime at Rick and Jodie's. So this was the only time that it's ever happened that the cousins could almost all be there to witness a cousin get baptized, and see a baby get blessed!
Very cool!
We had set the time for 5 PM at our stake center. Soon after, we all arrived from the reunion, changed into church attire. The Gordons had the baptismal font all ready for us. Stacy had printed a beautiful program.
What a beautiful spirit was present! We all felt the specialness of this occasion - the power of the Priesthood, the excitement of all of the sweet little cousins and the outpouring of love from all of us for each other and for our Heavenly Father.
So much feeling in that little room!
The Priesthood
We were so tickled to have my sisters, Kay and Joan, Kay's daughter, Shonna, her husband, Blake, their children, Caleb and Lily, and Joan's daughter, Whitney, join with us.
The sisters, aunts, Grandma and little Sarah
Maddy's Grandmas and Grandpas
We are so proud of our precious Maddy!
Stacy's talk on the Holy Ghost was so heart-felt and inspiring!
Maddy's brother, Jake, per her request, spoke about baptism and it was well thought out and wonderfully delivered.
She was baptized and confirmed by her very special daddy.
