I love my Aunt Grace, my dad's brother, Al's, wife. Her health has been failing the last few months and she passed away recently in Ogden, so Roger and I drove up north and met with the family at her viewing. Such a joy to catch up with my cousins! There were several there, representing Grace and Al's family and Nedra and Ray's.
I am with Aunt Nedra and Uncle Ray's daughter, Leslie, and Aunt Grace and Uncle Al's daughter, Carol. Roger and I had so many catch-up conversations with cousins and my beloved Aunt Nedra. We don't live near to any of them and we all commented, as we visited, of the strong family connection we feel for each other. Wish I had taken a pic of Aunt Nedra that evening.
Next morning in Logan was a lovely graveside service. I have just two aunts left - Aunt Nedra, my dad's sister, and Aunt Gary, my dad's brother, Ron's, wife. Here they are at Grace's graveside funeral, catching up.
My Aunt Nedra has always been very special to me; I feel such a tight bond of love with her. She is 90 years old - isn't she gorgeous?

Patty, Joan, Roger and I walked over to where Mom and Dad are buried (John and Kay had already left to go to the restaurant). Almost every ancestor in Mom's and Dad's families are buried in this beautiful cemetery.
Skip (Al, Jr.), Al & Grace's son, my brother, John, Lyman and Dorothy's son, and Joe, Ron & Gary's son - the oldest sons in each family - took a cute pic together. Nedra and Ray's oldest, Scott Bedke, couldn't be there (he had a campaign commitment, running for Lieutenant Governor of Idaho).
Our family was so pleased that we could all come to Grace's graveside service. We were all invited to a lovely lunch afterwards at The Riverwoods in Logan. (Roger is taking the pic) - I love my family!

Skip and his wife, Karleen, passed out Bluebird Chocolates after the meal, which was such a cute gesture. Logan has been known for many years for these tasty treats and they are a family favorite!
On the way back to Rick's in SLC, we stopped and bought some Brigham City peaches, which they are known for, and they are delicious! We packed up and drove home to St. George.
We drove up north the following weekend for Roger's 60th high school reunion. He took this pic of Rick's home and pool house (the two homes at 11 and 12 o'clock) when he went on his run from atop the running trail.

We took a selfie at Rick's before we left for the party. I was just about as excited as Roger was to see everyone. There are so many fun and really good people in his class of '62. We have gotten to get together with Roger's classmates for years on Jerry's houseboats at Lake Powell and on Jerry's ranch in Montana.
The Reunion committee had done a wonderful job setting up - Weber's colors are red, black and white. It had rained that morning, but the skies cleared up and the temperature was just right for my Viking blood - in the high 60s. There were 73 signed up to come - a pretty good turnout for people in their late 70s!

Wish we had gotten a few more shots of special friends, but everyone was so busy talking, we forgot to take pictures. They took this pic at the end, so some people had already gone, but this was a great turnout for the Weber High School 60th Reunion!
We were so excited that Josh and Jaylene blessed their little Caleb on Sunday, the next day! We are leaving on a big trip, and this is the only Sunday we could be there for quite awhile. Jaylene had texted us, when we would be up north next, and we were so pleased that she planned it so we could be there. We love this sweet couple so much!Josh is a wonderful oldest grandchild. Jaylene is from such a great family and her mom and dad and three of her 12 siblings and spouses could be there.
