Kara and Josh Winegar's Wedding and Reception - A Living Fairy Tale!

The Wednesday following the big reunion weekend, we were on the road up north to attend Shellie's daughter, Kara's, big wedding day. I should also note that we were on the road to Las Vegas for an Apple one-to-one the day before. Jack and Addie had stayed with us since Sunday, and we met Mindy and Jeff for lunch at Joe's Stone Crab and delivered the kids. We also met up with Missy, Jedd and kids when they finally stopped to eat late that afternoon at the McDonalds out front of Circus Circus, where there is a great indoor roller coaster and rides galore. They were having a ball and didn't want to stop to eat!

Anyway, Kara and Josh were married in the Salt Lake Temple on Thursday morning, June 14. It was so great to be there in the Celestial Room with Roger's family! The bride and groom were glowing!

Shellie and Shaylee - pretty mother and daughter!
After all of the pics were taken, we walked over to City Creek for a drink before going to the wedding breakfast in Bountiful at Eldrege Manor.

Roger and I walked through the gorgeous Church Office Building grounds and he took some pics - it was such a lovely day for a wedding!

The bride and groom finally arrived and we enjoyed a nice luncheon.

The reception was held at the Weber State Lindquist Alumni Center, where Rick and Jodie and Stacy and Tom's reception also were.
Grandma Strat's treasured handiwork was displayed against a tree.
Half of the reception was indoors, half outdoors. It was a calm, pleasant night.
Roger took some random shots of the loveliness.
There was a lavish buffet with salads, fruits, veggies, dips, breads, cheeses, shrimp, and the most amazing variety of desserts!
Everyone was given a gift containing Jordan almonds
and a miniature glass slipper for happily ever after.
Crystals and jewels were draped everywhere.
Two giant pictures of the couple were framing the reception line.
Roger took these shots as the groom pulled off Kara's blue garter and just before the bride threw her bouquet.
There was a drink station under the gazebo, where there were many choices of drinks, all, non-alcoholic, of course!
There were gorgeous flowers everywhere! Roger got such a pretty shot with the sunset glowing through the vases.

As we were leaving, I snapped this shot of Roger and the beautiful sunset.

It truly was a fairy tale wedding!
