2012 Merry Christmas Parties and Our Christmas Card!

Because this blog also serves as my personal history, I'm finally getting Christmastime, 2012, posted. I know it is old news, but here goes.

Our 8th Branch Christmas Party was festive, with a yummy, sit-down dinner and fun entertainment of a talented, musical family. We LOVE our branch family and enjoy every get-together we have with them!

I've included this pic of my cute visiting teacher, Janice and her husband, Jay. She is one of my favorite people ever, as is Judy VanDrimmelen, her partner.
We laugh and cry together every month and I look forward to their visit

Jay is known to be a real character in and about St. George.  He grabbed me as they were coming in to the party and told Roger to take our pic.

Chatting with Melanie Clyde and Kathie Nielsen

Brother Bill Gordon donated many beautiful poinsettias for the tables and decorations. The end of October, we visited his greenhouse, and his operation is amazing!

The Washington County Realtors' Christmas Party was at the Hilton Hotel.  It was a buffet dinner and our entertainment, hired from Las Vegas was . . .

. . . I know, pretty cheesy, but he actually sounded like Elvis.

Our Relief Society Christmas Party began at Janice Ence's home to see her trees, then to Marilee Flagler's to see her villages, then to the Crystal Lakes Clubhouse to put together gifts for the needy and a goodie exchange- we each made a Christmas treat to share.  It was sweets overload, but fun to try what other people make for Christmas, and the sisters were so generous in their donated items.

The NAI Christmas Party was at Texas Roadhouse.  We could order whatever we wanted off the menu, then we had a white elephant exchange.  As pretty much happens every year, we opened a bummer gift, but there were lots of laughs!

Our talented Missy got stuck putting together our Christmas card again, and we love and appreciate her so much.  She was a genius the way she handled our picture-taking session on Thanksgiving - she set the camera on a tripod on automatic, totally motivated the kids, and they all concentrated so hard to smile right into the camera before the flash went off.  We were out of there in twenty minutes!

Here's how our card turned out.

Next, our December 14 Wedding Anniversary . . .
