Stratford Thankful Thanksgiving, 2014, Part 2

First on the agenda - The Turkey Bowl!

Ever since Ryan's high school days, our family has held a Turkey Bowl either Thanksgiving Eve,
or the day after Thanksgiving.
As our family has grown, we have added the gutter guards for the little kids
(some of the adults, namely, me, could use them too!) and the adults have bowled for a champion.
I think Rick and Jodie have won it every year!

This apparatus helps the little kids bowl the heavy ball down the lane.

This year, Jeff had a retribution surprise waiting for Stacy.
After she had bowled her first frame, she turned around to see the male contingent in our family with these PINK shirts on, emblazoned with this photo pose from her high school days!
Last summer, Roger and I were cleaning out our storage, and some pics of Stacy were out.
Jeff and Mindy were visiting, and Jeff "borrowed" the pic.
There is a long-running war between Jeff and Stacy that started with Stacy printing Pita Man Jeff
(that's another story!) on a t-shirt.

We enjoyed Cafe Rio take-out for dinner,
then enjoyed our Cousin Talent Show.

We heard piano, guitar and vocal solos and watched magic (by magician Jared) in the music room
(everyone took videos instead of pics, so I just have a couple of pics to represent our Talent Show).
After the musical numbers, we all went into the sports court
to watch beautiful dancing, tumbling and gymnastics.
After that we went outside to watch amazing tricks on the trampoline!

Baby Fiona Kathleen just snoozed through it all!

Next, it was time for Mr. and Mrs. Santa!

Here are some of the grandkids receiving their Christmas cash, in no particular order.

Jodie tried to slip in a turn!

Next day, the cousins had fun at a Bounce House.

After take-out pizza, we all headed to see the lights on Temple Square.

Some of us parked in City Creek Mall and watched the fountains on the way to Temple Square.

The beauty of Temple Square at Christmastime never fails to delight!

Max's happy laugh kind of sums up our wonderful Thanksgiving, all together!
(But we missed you, Pete!)

  2. What a wonderful time we all had! Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus never disappoint! And just to clarify Jeff started the war when he wore the tee shirt of Stacy next to her MG convertible at Thanksgiving years ago. She followed up with the Pita Man tee shirt and then Jeff countered with this latest pink tee shirt. So funny!!

  3. Yes thank you, Mindy, for clarifying how the tshirt war all began! Jeff was the initiator and boy did he get me good this time! I don't know how I will ever be able to top it! What a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend we had together. I love being all together! We are truly blessed!
