Sister Shellie, Niece Shaylee and Mom Stratford Come to Visit

We are so glad when something or someone
brings Roger's awesome mom to visit.
Shaylee, Roger's sister, Shellie's, darling daughter
is marrying a St. George-ite.
Her fiancee's family held a shower for her last Saturday,
and Shellie, Shaylee and Lois came Friday and stayed with us.

Do you see the twin-er thing going on here?

We spent some time perusing the computer,
looking at various blogs and Shaylee got some hand work done
for her upcoming wedding in September.

I read out loud the post I put up last year
about Lois and her wonderful life of service.

We had lunch at Player's Grill
and got two more hooked on their wedge salad.

The shower was held at Shaylee's fiancee's Grandma's home,
and it was so fun to meet his warm and friendly family.

I loved talking into the wee hours with each of these
three generations of wonderful women -
Shellie loves to read, as I do,
 and we enjoyed comparing notes
on the books we have both read
and sharing about some of our individual favorite ones.
It was so fun having them stay with us!
Hope they will come again soon!

  3. I love the "mother and son" pictures of Lois and Roger! They do look alike and they are wired the same - goers and doers!

  4. What a great weekend with Grandma and co. It's neat you've been able to get to know Shaylee so well and were able to meet her future in-laws.
