Hooray! Our darling grandson, Sam, graduated from Mountain View High School in Boise and we got to be there!
This kid's spirit and sense of humor tickles our hearts!
Though he goes to school in Meridian, the ceremony was held in Nampa at the Ford Idaho Center. The ceremony was short and sweet, special emphasis on the short!
Some of Sam's fans!
Sam's proud family minus Jared, who is on a church mission in Arizona
We celebrated by having Sam's favorite, barbecued ribs at Rib City.
After delicious barbecue, we were treated to another Sam's favorite, ice cream at Reed's Dairy.
Next day after church, we took pics in the Smith's beautiful home. The Stake High Counselor of their ward, who is a neighbor, was invited to our delicious salmon dinner and oversaw Sam receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood by his father, Jedd.
We love to return to the area where I grew up and spend time with our daughter, Missy, and her cute family. They always make us feel so welcome and the kids make us laugh!

Claire tried on some of her old costumes.
Moana . . .
. . . and a much-outgrown Ariel. Wish I could get into some of my old clothes so easily!
They turned the AC way down for Grandma - sorry, Claire!
A big bonus was getting to see my brother, John, his wife, Cindy, and my sister, Joan.
Roger golfed with John at Purple Sage and Roger shot an Eagle! John was also excited because he golfed better than he had for a long time and he's a really good golfer. We met for a yummy lunch at Gramercy Park Pizza.
We drove to SLC and stayed at Rick's and we traveled back and forth to Ogden and spent four days with Lois. She was up out of bed early each morning and was eager to know what plans we had for her each day. We would eat lunch out, which she loved, and we took a pretty ride up Weber Canyon, to Mountain Green, Pineview Dam and back down Ogden Canyon. Roger spent a lot of time entertaining her with our pics and videos. They watched Josh and Jaylene dance at their wedding over and over and that was her favorite!
And they definitely got in a couple of naps!
Since the Pandemic, we have headed Up North a lot and have plans for more times in the future.
This was another good one!
Congratulations to Sam! What a beautiful family. I love the Roger/ Lois pictures. They touch my heart.
