April, Part 2 - Disney Cruise!

Disney Cruise
 To The Mexican Riviera

On Sunday, April 1, Roger and I, with Rick, Jodie, Josh, Sadie, Katie and Abby and Jodie's brother, Scott, Becky, Jake, Tessa, Anna, Ella and Luke boarded Disney's WONDER, and sailed for Mexico.

We were starving (what a way to begin a cruise!) and ate lunch in Beach Blanket Buffet.

Everyone was in high energy mode at the Port Departure Party.

We explored the beautiful ship and thrilled at the Dale Chihuly blown glass hanging form the Lobby Atrium.
Disney characters were readily available for pics throughout the ship all week.

The live show the first night in the Walt Disney Theatre let us know that we were in for amazing entertainment performed each night.
Of course Rick and Josh showed up to the first organized basketball on deck and Rick set up rotating teams. They are both such good players!

We didn't remember to take lots of pics of the food, but these next two shots are desserts for lunch that we really liked.

Rick and Josh were also fun to watch in the ping pong matches.

One fan (Rick's wife) lovin' it and the other (his daughter), not so much!

On the way to LA through Las Vegas, we dropped our computer off to be worked on AND we picked up our new iPad (our kids so generously gave us for birthdays, etc.) and I love reading books on it - can I just say - I LOVE IT!
Just chillin'!

The WaveBands entertainment that night was The Bucket Boys. They asked for four volunteers to create a cool rhythm number.  Guess who got "volunteered"!
Our talented grandson, Josh!
The Bucket Boys
The music really got things rockin'.
Go-oooo, Rick and Katie!
It was Miss Abby's turn to dance with Dad.

Mom Jodie got in on the action!
First Dress -up Night

This is the now-famous lemonade concoction that our darling server, Pendra Line Marain Dos Reis (we called her "Leen"), came up with. She had it all mixed and waiting at our table for us every night.

Roberto had towel animals and Disney chocolates waiting for us each night.
"John Carter", "Cars 3" and other Disney movies were in 3D.
We had to take some deck shots of the beautiful ship.

Note that the basketball has just gone in the hoop. Good form, Rick!
Sadie got in on some hoop action.
"Some day my Prince will come!"
I adore this sweet girl!
Pleasant dreams until tomorrow!
. . . to be continued in Part 2!
