April, Part 3 - Disney Cruise!

CABO SAN LUCAS ADVENTURES

Swimming with the

Dolphins

 in

Cabo San Lucas

The dolphin is swimming upside down with Abby.
Each little kid and big kid got a ride holding on to the dolphin's fin.
Hang on, Jodie!
 Isn't this a good-lookin' "school of fish"?
 Awoooooo! So cute!
They were in the water with the dolphins for almost an hour and said it was so much fun.  Roger, Rick and I watched nearby and were thoroughly entertained!

ZIP-LINING, RAPPELLING, CLIMBING AND SWINGING NEAR CABO

I think each of these guys deserves a medal of bravery!
What an adventure!

The live shows were Disney-tacular!
"Dream" was voted the most outstanding show on a cruise ship, and it was superb!
We were not allowed to take photos, but Roger snapped this one at the curtain call.
Jodie, Abby, Becky, Ella, Luke and I went shopping at the mercado while they were having their grand adventure.
Abby got this pretty fan and one for Katie.
 Second Dress-up Night
Luke loves lemons!
(Isn't he the cutest little guy?)

Lobster - yum!
Our last day we went to the Character Breakfast, where Disney characters came around to each table, signed autographs and posed for pics.

Of course, Hernan made character hats for our girls!
Another huge highlight was hearing Richard Sherman share Disney music that he and his brother wrote, both music and lyrics. They wrote all of the music in Mary Poppins, Jungle Book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, It's A Small World and more.  He shared wonderful anecdotes of working with Walt Disney and he sang and played his songs.
Richard Sherman is well in his 8o's and he's still got it!
While we were at the character Breakfast, Rick,Sadie and Josh were competing for the all-ship ping pong championship.
Look who won the whole thing!
Last night of the cruise
See, Abby is sporting her $5 Mexican ring!

Roger was given this shirt at work one day to wear with the other more mature employees, owner of NAI included. Fitting, don't you think?

Our Disney Cruise was truly a dream come true!

April, Part 2 - Disney Cruise!

Our first port of call was Puerto Vallarta.  We all signed up for a half-day excursion to Riviera Nayarit, a lovely beach resort.
Abby and Ella are sportin' their shades, ready for the beach!
Boogie boards were provided, and both families caught some good waves.

Becky and Scott enjoying some virgin pina coladas - we could have all we could drink.  We checked out several yummy tropical concoctions. And we had fabulous guacamole and chips at the lunch buffet.
Josh loves to eat lemons - and he's such a sweet kid!
Go figure!
We nabbed our own little thatched hut; it was a perfect, sunny day!
Group pic of the beach combers
Roger got some shots of the Wonder in port.

Just at sunset, it was so pretty out on deck as we sailed away from Puerto Vallarta.

Me with Captain " 'ook" (remember, Jack?)
Wish all of our grandkids could be with us to see all of these characters!
Our drop dead gorgeous "Leen" - her Dad was from India and her Mom, Portuguese, and she is from Paris.  And she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.  She asked us if we were Mormon, and when we asked her if she had a Book of Mormon, she said she had seven of them!  I guess other LDS families had also fallen in love with her! Roger challenged her to read the first chapter, which she tried to work in, during the week. The servers on board do not have a lot of down time - they work very hard. We were amazed how much they catered to the children.  They really took extra time talking to them, teasing with them and doing special little things for them.

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here, but Jodie was taking our pics and was cracking us up.  I think I'm trying to hide behind Roger for the photo.

I think Becky is so beautiful!  And Scott's not too bad, either!  We surely enjoyed being with their family on the cruise, and the cousins had such fun together!

Next stop was Cabo San Lucas, where we tendered in to shore.

Aaarg!
Another yummy dessert for lunch,
 back on the ship.
There were many lovely resorts we walked by while we shopped.

I made the mistake of saying, "Cute!" when we walked by Caesar; he followed me, begging me to buy his little bobble head frog for "$3".
I love it!
Pirate night on the ship- we couldn't believe how many people went all out with costumes.  The kids were so excited!

Our head waiter, Hernan, was from Chile and he and Roger had lots of fun conversing in Spanish.  He was such a cute guy, and he made napkin and origami animals for the kids every night.
Ahoy, maties!  Note the gold, butter wrapper teeth!
Who taught her how to do that, you say. The dentist, of course!
Out on deck, the party was kicking into high gear.  Music was blasting!

As a grand finale, Mickey flew across the top of the mast of the ship,
then we had a firework show.

We weren't sure whether this towel animal was a hanging pirate or a monkey, but isn't he cute?
In Part 3, I'll show some pics of swimming with the dolphins and zip-lining that the
"youngers" did.  Well, actually, guess who also did the zip-lining, rappelling, Tarzan-swinging and climbing cliffs.  You guessed it - my physically-fit husband!
